A martial artist should have a well balanced diet in order to reap the benefits of his practical skills in martial arts. A highly nutritious diet keeps the martial artist body strong as well as in a good shape, which helps him in the practice of martial arts. These Diets that work for martial artists have good amount of nutrition.
A martial artist understands this fact that the food is the fuel of the body. If a person wants high performance from a car then he had to use high-octane fuel to run it as the way he wants it to speed up. This is also the case with human body, but In case of martial artist the diet have extra major role compare to a normal person. He had to take a highly nutritional diet to keep up the pace with the tearing of tissues, injuries during practice and many other body malfunctions. It does not mean that he has to live on berries, nuts or stuff like that. He can eat baked food, coca cola or pizza with the regime of the balanced diet in the mind.
A well balanced diet of a martial artist consists of foods that supply an ample amount of proteins, carbohydrate, fats, vitamins and minerals. These diets work for martial artist. There are two types of proteins complete and incomplete proteins. Soya bean, cheese milk, eggs etc have complete proteins peas, nuts, beans etc. Wheat contains both the proteins. Intake of these foods contain proteins are essential for the full body growth and a martial artist need proteins to regain the muscles after a long session of practice. Carbohydrates and sugar are also essential in the diet because they give energy needed for the body to burn. Like carbohydrates, fats have energy molecules, which give extra ability to sustain without food. Thin layer of fat all around the body works as an insulator and keeps the body warm in cold conditions and a layer of fat under the skin protects the nerves.
All these basis nutrients comprise to create a body of steel, which can fight in any given situation and protects itself from any danger, which can cause harm to the martial artist body.
